ONE-WEEK, HANDS-ON TRAINING:

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Includes: The Refrigeration Cycle, Superheat, Saturation, and Subcooling, Using the T/P chart, Heat loads, Using tools and test equipment, Working safely, electrical Wiring and Wiring Diagrams, Taking electrical readings, Troubleshooting electrical problems, Compressors, Evaporators, Condensers, Metering Devices, Performing preventive maintenance, Charging a system, Troubleshooting air flow and refrigerant problems, Performing minor repairs, EPA and R-410A Certification if needed.

SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Includes: Review all requirements for Maintenance Technician, Review electrical basics and safety, Troubleshooting a/c systems, Troubleshooting heat pumps, Troubleshooting gas furnaces, Evaluating motors for weak windings, Evaluating a system’s performance, Recovering refrigerant and evacuation, Performing a compressor change-out, Removing and replacing motors, EPA and R-410A Certification if needed.

SENIOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Includes: Review all requirements for Maintenance and Service Technician, Review charging methods, Review electrical basics and safety, Comfort and Psychrometrics, Performing diagnostic checks, Troubleshooting circuit boards, Start-up procedures, Assisting technicians with problems, Performing air flow calculations, Performing BTU calculations, Calculating temperature difference across the evaporator using latent heat load, Handling customer complaints, Air distribution and balance, EPA and R-410A Certification if needed.

Quality Technical Training Center has been training HVAC technicians for over 20 years. Our facility includes over 16,000 square feet of classroom and lab space.  Our labs are fully equipped with real working heating and air conditioning units.

Industry Class Schedule:

Our industry classes are scheduled on an individual basis.  With very few exceptions, this could be at your company’s convenience anytime throughout the year.

Tuition:  $1,500 per technician.

Payment must be received one week prior to training.

Minimum class size is 6.  Maximum class size is 20.

Low Enrollment Cancellation Policy

Custom training classes are evaluated for minimum enrollment one week prior to the first day of class. If minimum enrollment is not met at that time, the class will be cancelled. Classes that have met minimum enrollment will continue to accept registrants until the maximum has been met or the first day of class, whichever comes first.
